We eat here every time we visit MV. Excellent service! This place runs like a machine when it gets extremely busy.
MoreGreat food, but takes a long time.to get it.. Staff need to speak better English.
MoreFriendly staff. Great location. Good biscuits. Disappointed with chicken biscuit. Processed chicken instead of fresh fried chicken. Please use fresh. Gravy very good.
MoreSolid breakfast, hard working owner runs a very efficient service.
Nice place to have breakfast. Food is great and delicious. Be there early because they have huge waiting line each morning.
MoreIt never disappoints.
I don't mind waiting for great food but this was not worth the wait. Almost a hour to be seated. The biscuit gravy must have been out of a can it was gelatinous and bland. The biscuits could have been from one of those pop open rolls. The eggs which our table ordered scrambled and over easy were tasteless. The waitress was inattentive and never asked if we needed anything after our food was served. We had to ask another server for the check. The place is tiny and has NO RESTROOM. If you wanted to wash your hands prior to eating, which I like to do, I was told I had to walk across the street and down a few blocks to another business to use the restroom.
MoreAlways crowded, but worth it for the heartiest breakfast on the island.
Shrimp and grits were surprisingly tasty. Wait was extended so if you want to be there, put your name down early. Service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed. Fruit bowl selection was elite.
MoreCan't comment on the food as I had to wait 1.5 hours when informed that the wait should be 40 minutes. It's Saturday. I get it. It's close to Labor Day. I get it. It was 6 of us, I get it. Just was not satisfied with the answers I received as to WHY as I watched 6 or 7 groups of 2 or more walk in ahead of us. And yes, locals have probably earned the right to get moved up in the line. A wink and a nod goes a long way in the Vineyard. That being said. Customer service is really important. An acknowledgement of our long wait by the lead manager/proprietor would have gone a long to improving this dining experience. BTW, food was a fine price performer, nothing special.
MoreBiscuits is fantastic and the owner Chris is a wonderful Host. Try the fried chicken!
MoreAmazing Food! The Biscuits are fresh and doughy. The French Toast Stuffed with Banana, Delicious! Fast Service. Long Wait line, worth the wait!
MoreUnderstaffed. Enjoyed waiting 10 minutes for a coffee and water bottle.Response to owner’s reply:There were people who ordered actual food after us and got their orders served before us. Drink orders like this should be taken care of at the time of the order before taking the next to avoid the unnecessary wait. That is common practice at every take out place ive been to throughout the pandemic. Don’t use covid as an excuse.
MoreAwesome restaurant!! You had to wait in line for about 5 minute the food was delicious the biscuits were just like grandma biscuits. It worth the wait.
MoreLoved it! The pancakes and homefries were delicious
This was a wonderful place for breakfast. The food was great, the service was amazing and the staff is friendly and ready to help! We will come back every time we're here!!!
MoreOur go to breakfast spot on the Vineyard. There's always a wait but it's worth it.
MoreFood was good. Reasonably priced. Great staff. Good location.
Great breakfast. Grab some and sit by the harbor to watch the boats. Order ahead online because this place is popular!
MoreExcellent staff and management. Everyone was very pleased with their meals. We will return often.
MoreFood was good, service was excellent!
I had waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. Fantastic!
Excellent. The food and service was well above average.
Great place, great prices, very friendly, we were very happy 😀
They took care if me while on vacation. Food is good and service is fast. See you next year
MoreBest breakfast on the Island. Clearly they know and understand what a biscuit looks and tastes like. I got a dozen to take home. You have no idea how long I've been looking for my grandmammas biscuits. Highly recommend. Best home fries and sausage too. Fresh squeezed orange juice and amazing service. Loved it.
MoreFilthy, unsanitary and unhealthy! This establishment has no bathroom for customers, employees wipe down chairs and clean tables with the same dirty rags which are carried in their back pockets. The menus are filthy, so we were told that we could wash our hands in a sink behind the wait stand. Over 20 tables and No bathroom; needless to say, but I left without ordering and still can't believe people are standing in line to eat in this place.
MoreExcellent food and service!
If you're hungry (for breakfast in particular) it's worth the wait to eat at Biscuits, where - it probably won't surprise you to hear - the biscuits are great. If you're in a rush they also let you order to-go.
MoreThe food is great here. Try out different things on the menu to get a feel for what you like. But their classic breakfast selections are quite good.
MoreLoved it ! Reminded me of a lot of the breakfast nooks back home. The prices are reasonable for Island prices, but the food is so worth it. I've never had such good hash browns in my life ! The biscuits were buttery, soft and fluffy, and the gravy was perfect. Great spot for breakfast!
MoreReally delicious and quick bite. Super popular, but our wait was not long!
Best fried chicken, biscuits and gravy's good too. Kitchen is run like a well oiled machine.
MoreBest breakfast experience on the island. Customer service is amazing. Great spot to go for any occasion.
MoreBiscuits is easily one of the best spots to eat on the island! Breakfast and brunch is second to none. There's a wonderful melanated vibe that is welcoming to anyone who wants to eat a great meal. I come up from NYC every year for it!
MoreThe service,as always was wonderful. The food was delicious. I had the New England breakfast... Highly recommend!!
MoreI took my Mom there for her birthday breakfast and without knowing they treated us beautifully. The owner came out to meet and greet. Then to top it off the food was exceptional. I will be returning. Staff food and ambiance all pluses.
MoreFried eggs, cheese grits, crispy bacon, and off course, a biscuit. Yum. Busy place, though. As personable as our server was, the service still felt a little rushed.
MoreI ordered the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and it was very good and filling. The restaurant is very small and crowded but our wait wasn’t too long. My only complaint is that there are no restrooms. I’ve never been to a restaurant where you could not wash your hands before eating.
MoreGreat dinner type good. Great value for the island
I love visiting biscuits when I am on the Vineyard. Customer service is exemplary, the ambiance of restaurant is relaxed and homely. With a wide variety of meals to suit every palette.
MoreFABULOUS! Uou know a place is good when its crowded even in the off season. The shrimp and grits were really good. Great service too.
MoreGreat shrimp grits. Very tasty. Pancakes and biscuits were average. Service was so-so. We were given our check well before we finished eating.Went back a second time and service was better! Chicken and biscuits were good.
MoreWow! Biscuits Restaurant has the best French toast I have ever had in my entire life! I live in NH but when I visit the Vineyard, I make sure to go to Biscuits!
MoreTo me the mark of a breakfast place is their biscuits and gravy. With the name biscuits I had high expectations and they were met. Biscuits were soft, moist and fluffy. Gravy was well seasoned without skimping on sausage. Everyone else in our party was thrilled with their meals too.I imagine that the place could get very crowded in summer. There is no customer bathroom on premises. Door opens awkwardly for access from the wheelchair ramp. We struggled a bit with a stroller, I think a wheelchair would be quite difficult but worth the effort. I will look forward to going here again!
MoreThe name says it all. They've got great stuff on the menu, but you have to come for the biscuits. Warm, fresh, and fluffy. You can make a meal out of just that. But I definitely recommend the omelets. They're huge and filling.
MoreDelicious.. great breakfast.. little bit of a wait but worth it!
This is probably the best fried chicken, biscuits and mushroom gravy I've ever had....in my life. Ever. I'll be back tomorrow.
MoreThis seems like a popular place. Make sure you use the restroom before you go because they don’t have a bathroom. The biscuits are okay...nothing special. The potatoes are pretty good. Friendly staff.
